Solar and Wind Power Approach Tipping Point for Lowest Cost Energy Resource

What Renewable Energy means for You in 2016
The global revolution in renewable energy has been transpiring largely behind the scenes over the past 2 decades. In 2016, this transformative economic and social movement will be thrust into the foreground of cultural awareness.

solar power renewable energyAmericans are beginning to realize that the costs for rooftop solar energy have come down so far that it is frequently more economical (today!) to buy solar than to continue to pay their dirty and expensive utility bill. In addition, large scale wind power integrated into the utility grid has been, on average, the lowest cost new electric energy source in the world for nearly a decade.

With the extension of the renewable energy tax credits for the coming 5 years, renewable energy investments will be one of the smartest and most lucrative (and the Greenest) investments any and all of us can make from 2016 to 2021. It is estimated that over the coming 5 years alone, we will see an additional $125 billion in wind power projects and an additional $500 billion in solar energy projects along with the launching of an estimated 400,000 to 500,000 new green collar jobs. Renewable energy is good for the planet, it is good for American business, and it can be very lucrative for your company, your community, and your home. In fact, in Go Green’s home state of Hawaii, we have a new law that the entire state has to go to 100% renewable energy in the coming 2 decades, the first state to pass such a law. (Go Green’s Executive Director was one of the 4 citizens who launched the legislative effort 3 years ago to get the now 100% renewable energy mandate for Hawaii passed and signed by the Governor.)
